Connected Slate LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website at connectedslate.com (the "Site").
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Contact Form Submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Automatically Collected Data: When you visit the Site, our server may automatically log your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used for security and site performance purposes only.
- Spam Protection: We use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that form submissions are made by humans. Cloudflare may collect your IP address and browser information as part of this verification process. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely to:
- Respond to your enquiries and messages sent via the contact form.
- Protect the Site from spam, abuse, and unauthorised access.
- Monitor and improve Site performance and security.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Email Communications
Contact form submissions are delivered to our team via Resend, a transactional email service. Resend processes message data in order to deliver emails on our behalf. See Resend's Privacy Policy for details. We do not use your email address for marketing communications unless you have explicitly opted in.
4. Cookies & Analytics
The Site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how pages are used in aggregate, which may set analytics cookies. Cloudflare, which provides infrastructure services for the Site, may set cookies for security and performance purposes; these are strictly functional. We do not use cookies to track you across third-party websites.
5. Digital Business Card Links
A link to one of our digital business cards may include a short code identifying which card was handed out — for example, a card given at a particular meeting or event. When such a link is opened, we record that the code was used, which of our cards it points to, the date and time, a general device description (such as "iPhone / Safari"), and which buttons were tapped on the card.
We do not store your IP address with these records. To count how many distinct people opened a card without identifying them, the IP address and browser details are combined with a secret value and a one-way hash is stored instead. That hash changes every day, so records from different days cannot be linked together and the hash cannot be reversed to recover an IP address. A card link without a code records nothing at all.
These records, including the daily hash described above, are exported to Zoho Analytics so we can report on them alongside our other business data. No IP addresses are included in that export.
6. Third-Party Services
The Site uses the following third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare — DNS, security, and Turnstile spam protection (Privacy Policy)
- Resend — Transactional email delivery (Privacy Policy)
- Google Fonts — Web font delivery (Privacy Policy)
- Zoho Analytics — Business reporting on the card-link records described in Section 5 (Privacy Policy)
7. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as necessary to respond to and manage your enquiry. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days and then purged. Digital business card link records, as described in Section 5, are retained for as long as the card code remains in use.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data.

10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
